The NFC Least Week 4

Week 4 finds the NFC East locked in a 3 way tie between the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants all at an even 2-2 closely followed by Chippee Kelly's Eagles bringing up the rear with a 1-3 record.

Giants Stop the Bills 24-10. The Giants headed to Buffalo determined to shut down the Bills impressive run game. Coming into the game the Bills were averaging 121 yards per game. The Giants defense shut down that game by allowing only 55 yards.

Giant fans started having flashbacks to Weeks 1 & 2 in the 4th quarter. Bills QB Tyron Taylor threw a 23 yard TD pass to RB Karlos Williams that brought the Giants lead down to six with 10 minutes remaining.

Eli quickly answered the Bills with a short pass to RB Rashad Jennings who outdid Williams and fought his way 51 yards for the TD. A successful 2 point conversion upped the GMen lead to 24-10 with under 8:00 minutes on the clock.

Prince Amukamara once again stepped up big by field stripping Bills WR Robert Woods of the ball. This took the air out of the Bills and all seemed hopeless. Though Eli teased the Buffalo crowd when he committed his first interception of the year on the Bills 8 yard line by Stephon Gilmore who returned it to the 30.

Down by 14 points the Bills went to work but only managed to march down to the Giants 13 before being sacked backed to the 27 with only 11 seconds on the clock. The ensuing 4th and 19 pass attempt was incomplete. The Giants took over on downs. Eli finished it by taking a knee.

Just like that the Giants are 2-2and waiting for the struggling 49ers.

Player Updates
Victor Cruz:
Last year in Week 6 (October 12, 2014) against the Eagles Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. He was operated on the following day and have been working on his recovery since.

There were some rumors early this week Victor Cruz might play. That rumor was quicjly put to rest by Wed. Tom Coughlin said there is no timetable for his return.

On Thursday Oct 1, Cruz had a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection. This is a new procedure where blood is drawn from the patient. The blood goes through a process called centrifugation to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. The centrifugation process also increases the platelet concentration. These platelets re then added back to the patients blood. Platelet-Rich Plasma has a higher concentration of growth factors. Studies have shown that this increased concentration of growth factors can increase the healing process. We are all hoping this will expedite Victor's recovery. This process may cause pain and discomfort for a couple weeks.
More Info on PRP

Jason 'The Firecracker' Pierre Paul :
The Giants star defensive end is rumored to report to the Giants around the time they play the 49ers. Questions remain on whether or not JPP can return to his ProBowl level of play. This one can get ugly as doctors may say JPP is healthy to play. In other words he will be healthy enough to play. The Giants front office however might be concerned if he is able to chase down QB's and still manage to grab them without a thumb.
Anyone remember this?

Redskins Outlast the Eagles 23-20
Here in the Washington DC area fans are celebrating Kurt Cousins come from behind final drive. Players and coaches also must be relieved and feeling good. This conference is anyone's game and the team that can stay healthy and start achieving some chemistry will be the team to win it.

The struggles of the 1-3 Eagles continue. The safety of their head coach walking to a Cheesesteak street vendor is a deep concern. This team has talent and can quickly rise to the top provided they stay close as they work through their issues.

Cowboys Can't Stop the Saints fall 26-20
The Cowboys lost this one in overtime. It is difficult to ascertain if the Cowboys roster is very deep or the Saints are really that bad. The Cowboys began the game without starters Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. In the first quarter they lost their star linebacker Sean Lee with a concussion. Later in the game RB Lance Dunbar went down with a knee injury and is likely lost for the season. Despite the extensive injuries plaguing the 'Boys they nearly left New Orleans with a win. In this division the Cowboys could be a contender in the end if they continue to play well and can stay with the pack.

NEXT WEEK:
The NFC Least can actually end up losing all four games this upcoming Sunday. My prediction: hey I don't make predictions. Here is why. If I predict the Giants to win they lose, if I pick the Giants to lose they win, unless I pick the Giants to lose just to make them win they lose. For me its all about the Gints so no predictions just a little chatter.

Giants at home against the 49ers
Classic fall game for the GMen. Here they are feeling good about winning 2 in a row. Come on menstay focused here.

Redskins head to Atlanta to face the Falcons
Falcons offense is putting up some numbers. Redskins Defense won't be able to stop them and I doubt their offense will be able to keep up with them. Their best chance to win occurs if the Falcons are looking ahead in their schedule.

Eagles take on the Saints in New Orleans
We have both 1-3 teams. The Saints seem to have developed some upward mobility while the Eagles are still hovering near the ground. Yet the football nation continues to wait for this much ballyhooed Eagles offense to kick in.

Cowboys beefing up security to prepare for Patriots shady ways
Cowboys might as well take their bye this week, give the Pats the default win and finish the week with no additional injuries. But thats not how we do things in America we fight to the bitter end. before the fight begins make sure to pick the Patriots for your suicide pool this week.
